Wake up!
According to a book by Daniel Goleman, Emotional Awareness at Work, self-awareness is the key to developing emotional intelligence. Emotions dictate our state of mind, unfortunately we are not always paying attention. It is so easy to dwell on a bad situation as opposed to taking control of the situation and changing the situation or accepting the consequences of said situation. If you're mad, you are mad. It is your choice to be mad, no one elses. If you disagree, do so with dignity, don't cower and criticise others. Try looking on the bright side. Tell others how you feel, admit when you are wrong, and respect the opinions of others. Avoid people who don't appreciate the beauty that is you. Wake up and smell the roses. Sad and depressed are out. Self-awareness and an appreciation for life and lives around you are in. Find out who cares about how you feel and roll with them. It's time to wake up people. Life is too short and unpredictable to waste brooding and stirring the pot of hate and disgust. WAKE UP!
