Hello World,
Fortunately, the ice is melting in our quaint little town of Henderson, NC. We had bedded down for a blanket of snow and ice and a lost of electricity, but we were very fortunate. Normal routines were interrupted for about 24 hours at the most. The schools are still closed, but I actually ventured out today and I'm timid about driving in plain rain. The roads are fine, some icy spots in the shade, but they are melting. It's so good to be out and about again.
My prayers go out to those less fortunate than us, but the forecast for next week is expected to reach 50 degrees. That's pretty warm for our next of the woods this time of year. Hopefully the cold has diminished the mosquito population for the coming summer.
Be careful out there no matter where you are.
